His parents were Bernard Ipharraguerre (d. 1860) and Marie Ithurburu (64 years old), she lived in Esterencuby at the time of her son's marriage. She died in 1873 (at 66 years old) and was noted as Marie Biscaichipy in error in the Esterencuby death records.
